*Clarification: all of my dad's hospital bills are covered by the V.A. so this fundraiser is just to pay for my mom staying at Kathy's house or a hotel until my dad is discharged after his surgery(which might be a week or longer), her food, her gas driving back and forth to the hospital and some natural foods and drinks she can bring to my dad in the hospital.* Hello friends and family! Naomi here; I'm writing in the hopes of raising some funds for my mom and dad to help with food, gas and lodging expenses when they go down to Milwaukee VA hospital for my dad's lung and lymph node surgery some time next month. They will be scheduling the surgery at my dad's next appointment on April 3rd. As most of you know, my dad, Fred Gundlach, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and we just found out that his oncologists are recommending surgery to remove, and I quote, "a large chunk of his right lung." My mom also told me today that they will remove part of his lymph nodes as well. This sounds extremely painful and intense and my heart is so saddened for my poor dad, but I am hopeful that God is working even this out for good.
