Hi, my name is Theresa Malachowski. My step-father is Fred Marble, the Owner/Operator of “Fred's Rooter”, a drain and sewer company in Agawam, MA. My Mom, Fred's wife of almost 40 years, is Cathy (Bercier), the Owner/Operator of “End Results”, a hairdressing salon in Agawam, MA.
My mom has been living with MS for years, and now Fred has just been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
Fred was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his throat, in September of 2017. He had chemo and radiation and beat the throat cancer!
But then Fred had to go for a cat scan last month (December 2018) and they found spots on his lungs. A biopsy was done last week, (which resulted in a collapsed lung) and the results from the biopsy were devastating – the squamous cell carcinoma had metastasized to his lungs, and there is no treatment available.
They have given him 4 - 8 months left to live.
To anyone who knows Fred, you know he has a huge heart and is always willing to help others. Now he is the one that needs help. Their lives have been turned upside down, and of course, the bills continue to roll in.
We are starting this fund to help offset the expenses that are not covered by insurance. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated to lessen the financial burden that they are facing.
