On August 5, 2025, my friends Franziska and Niklas lost everything in a devastating fire near Tarifa, southern Spain. I am writing these words because I want to support them in this difficult time, as well as a Spanish family who lives on the same property and was also affected. They live there in harmony, with gratitude and respect for nature and people.

The fire was started by a campervan in the area. Due to strong winds, the flames spread quickly and turned into a large, destructive wildfire. Within a very short time, the fire reached the entire property. The bungalow and the camper truck my friends were living in were completely destroyed.

They were able to rescue their dog Nuffy at the very last moment. Sadly, their two birds, Ocean and Birdi, did not survive.

The Spanish family, who had been living on the land for decades, also lost a house and their animals in the fire.

Both families are in shock, they have lost everything and they urgently need support. Any donations collected through this campaign will be shared fairly between the two families.
