Dear animal lovers,

We are Stichting For the Strays – Paws of Greece, a registered PBO (Public Benefit Organization) dedicated to rescuing and caring for stray animals in the Trifilia region of the Peloponnese (Greece). At our shelter, we currently house over 80 dogs and approximately 10 cats. In addition to providing daily care, we actively work to spay and neuter (stray) animals to tackle the root of the problem. Every day, we provide medical care, food, and love for these animals – but we can't do it alone. ❤️

Right now, we are facing a big problem: our car, which we rely on daily for trips to the vet, picking up volunteers, and transporting adopted animals to the airport, has broken down. The repair costs are too high, and we urgently need a new (second-hand) car.

The funds we would need for a new car are actually meant for critical repairs to the kennels – places where our dogs live safely and comfortably. Safe kennels are essential. If the kennels are damaged, fights can break out among the dogs, leading to serious injuries or even death. We must prevent this at all costs!

Our goal:

We want to raise €4.500 to buy a reliable second-hand SUV or MPV – a car that:

✅ Has high suspension – to handle the poor and rough roads in Greece

✅ Has a spacious interior – to safely transport large flight boxes with dogs

✅ Is reliable – for long trips to Athens (a 3-hour drive each way) and the vet
