My name is Mandeep Kaur, and I am writing this with a heavy heart after the recent passing of my beloved mother, Gurbaksh Kaur, who was 77 years old.

She came to Canada on a visitor visa to spend precious time with family, but her health suddenly took a serious turn. She was diagnosed with late-stage cancer and admitted to the hospital in Langley, British Columbia.

I stayed by her side every day during her final days and had to stop working to care for her. Despite all efforts and care, she sadly passed away last week.

We had purchased visitor insurance with coverage of $100,000, but unfortunately, her medical treatment and extended hospital stay resulted in bills that have now reached approximately $250000 CAD. We only got first bill from Feb 23rd until March 3rd, 2026 , but still waiting for the 2nd bill from March 12 until March 28th the day she passed . This amount is far beyond what we can afford.

Along with the emotional pain of losing her, we are now facing an overwhelming financial burden. We are humbly asking for support from our community during this incredibly difficult time.
