Hi, my name is Annabelle and I am in 4th grade. When I was 9, we adopted a kitten from the local SPCA. We named him Kurokage, but we call him Kage for short.

Kage's favorite game is chasing pom-poms around. He also loves to run and chase dry treats when I flick or throw them. He loves to run around with his kitty sister Aiko (it may be less of a with and more like chasing)

Recently, my family found out that Kage has a very painful hip problem that will need surgery, and he’s not even 2 years old yet! Because of his condition, he hasn't been able to do some of his favorite things. Luckily there is a surgery that will fix the problem entirely. Kage will have a normal life after the surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery is pretty expensive, the specialists have said anywhere from $8000 to $10000.

My family will get the surgery for Kage no matter what because he is a beloved family member, but it is quite a bit of money. I really wanted to be able to help in some way. My best friend Audrey and I were trying to think of ways to raise money. We heard about the GoFundMe website and me and Audrey thought it was a good way for us to contribute, so we worked together to plan and create this page.
