Help Fluffy recover

Fluffy is a beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell cat with green eyes, around 10 years old, who has endured many hardships. She lived on the streets of the Old Town of Palma as part of a small colony of five cats. Sadly, Fluffy was the only survivor but her time on the streets left her with serious health issues.

Fluffy’s Health Challenges

When I rescued Fluffy, she was malnourished and struggling to eat due to severe periodontal disease and chronic stomatitis, which caused her constant pain. She was also diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and symptoms of Calicivirus, a virus that weakens her immune system and makes her prone to infections. She has since been diagnosed with Dilated Hypertrophy, which is currently ok & is under control. She has currently been diagnosed with gingivostomatitis, due to Calcivirus.

Life-Changing Treatments

Fluffy is being cared for at Clínica Veterinaria Foners, where she has received crucial treatments:

Dental surgeries: Fluffy has had all her teeth removed due to the damage caused by chronic stomatitis. She underwent two major dental surgeries, which included tests, diagnostics and hospitalization, to relieve her pain and improve her quality of life.

Immune support treatments: She's currently receiveing Impromune to strengthen her weakened immune system.

Her Kidney care diet has been temporarily changed to Hypoallergenic to strengthen her immune system. Her gingivostomatitis, kidneys & Dilated Hypertrohy are being monitored.

The Financial Challenge

Right now, I have €3.49 in her funds & I owe the vet €193.70. She will need to go back to the vets in 3 weeks for a check up. She'll also need help with the costs of her specialized hypoallergenic diet, immune system medication, her current medication - steroid & Nelio & kidney/heart monitoring every 6 to 12 months.

I am currently unemployed and my only income is a temporary disability benefit of €480 per month. Covering these costs has been incredibly difficult but I am committed to giving Fluffy the care she needs to live a happy and pain-free life. With your support, we can make this happen.

Ayuda a Fluffy a recuperarse

Fluffy es una preciosa gata carey de pelo largo y ojos verdes, de unos 10 años, que ha pasado por muchas dificultades. Vivía en las calles del casco antiguo de Palma, formando parte de una pequeña colonia de cinco gatos. Lamentablemente, Fluffy fue la única sobreviviente, pero su tiempo en la calle le dejó graves problemas de salud.

Problemas de salud de Fluffy

Cuando rescaté a Fluffy, estaba desnutrida y le costaba comer debido a una enfermedad periodontal grave y estomatitis crónica, lo que le causaba dolor constante. También le diagnosticaron enfermedad renal crónica y síntomas de calicivirus, un virus que debilita su sistema inmunitario y la hace propensa a infecciones. Desde entonces, le diagnosticaron hipertrofia dilatada, que actualmente se encuentra bien y bajo control. Actualmente le diagnosticaron gingivoestomatitis, causada por calicivirus.

Tratamientos que cambian la vida

Fluffy recibe atención en la Clínica Veterinaria Foners, donde ha recibido tratamientos cruciales:

Cirugías dentales: A Fluffy le extrajeron todos los dientes debido al daño causado por una estomatitis crónica. Se sometió a dos cirugías dentales mayores, que incluyeron pruebas, diagnóstico y hospitalización, para aliviar su dolor y mejorar su calidad de vida.

Tratamientos de apoyo inmunitario: Actualmente recibe Impromune para fortalecer su sistema inmunitario debilitado.

Su dieta para el cuidado renal se ha cambiado temporalmente a hipoalergénica para fortalecer su sistema inmunitario. Se está monitoreando su estado actual, sus riñones y su hipertrofia dilatada.

El reto financiero

Ahora mismo, tengo 3,49 € en la cuenta de Fluffy y le debo al veterinario 193,70 €. Tendré que volver al veterinario en tres semanas para una revisión. También necesitaré ayuda con los gastos de la dieta hipoalergénica especializada de Fluffy, la medicación para el sistema inmunitario, los medicamentos actuales (esteroides y Nelio) y el control renal y cardíaco cada seis o doce meses.

Por qué necesito tu ayuda

Actualmente estoy desempleada y mi único ingreso es una prestación por incapacidad temporal de 480 € al mes. Cubrir estos gastos ha sido increíblemente difícil, pero me comprometo a brindarle a Fluffy la atención que necesita para vivir feliz y sin dolor. Con tu apoyo, podemos lograrlo.
