Please help Flossie at this dificult time.

We would like to share a story about someone very special to us, her name is Florence Martin, known to friends as Flossie or Flo.  She is a loving wife to Joseph Martin and mother to 5 amazing kids,  Jimmy, Amanda, Jeremy, Joey and Amber.  Flossie is an amazing person who is kind, caring, and always there to help anyone who is in need.  Her kindness and compassion extends not only to her family and friends, but to so many people in need. Whether it be making sure that there was food available, providing financial assistance. or coordinating transportation, any help that she could provide, even though times and finances are tough for her and her husband, she is always the first to step up and help.

Recently, Flossie became suddenly ill and was taken to the hospital. At first she was told that the symptoms that she was experiencing was from a stomach virus, where she was monitored for a few days and then sent home. A day later, she was feeling much worse and then went to a second hospital where a nurse noticed stroke like symptoms. They did a CAT scan and found a mass on her brainstem. After an MRI confirmed the mass she then went to a third hospital where a biopsy was perfumed. The first biopsy was unsuccessful and a second, more invasive, biopsy was performed.

Soon after the second biopsy, Flossie and her family were given the devastating news that she had a brain tumor called Glioblastoma and that there was no cure. The doctors are recommending chemo and radiation therapy as treatment. As you can imagine, this is an unimaginable time for Flossie and her family, whom have been by her side the entire time.

Flossie is very weak and will need full-time care and assistance to get to treatments and doctors appointments. Her husband Joe has been by her side since this all started and has not been able to work. The medical expenses are getting larger by the day and the bills for what the insurance will not cover have started to come in. Even given Flossie's current condition, she is stressing about the medical bills. We are asking if you can please help support Flossie and her family and help relieve some of the stress during this difficult time.
