PLEASE HELP US FIND JOSEPH!!!

My name is Angie. I’m a longtime friend of Joseph’s parent’s, Ava and Ben.

Joseph is a gentle, music-loving young man, recovering from a complicated head injury, which impacts his speech, motor function, and short term memory, especially when he is tired or stressed.

Just around of after 6pm on July 1, 2025, Joseph likely entered the NYC subway in Brooklyn and needed to make an easy connection across a subway platform to get home. He has not been seen or heard from since.

We fear he may have inadvertently made the wrong connection to a train which stops at the same platform as the correct connection, but which veers off at some point from Manhattan to parts in the Bronx unfamiliar to Joseph.

As he would not be familiar with the subway route and because he would have been tired, due to the brain injury he may have felt overwhelmed and unable to process how to recover.

In the past he has always sought help when he needed it. While he did not have his cell phone or ID with him at the time of his disappearance, he has his mother’s phone number memorized, and would not have hesitated to ask someone to help him place a call. Kind people have always helped him place a call to her in the past. He has always managed to get home before nightfall.

We have been hoping that Joseph’s stature will cause him to stand out in a crowd - he is 6’5” and 145 lbs and 21 years old, but may appear younger. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a black t-shirt emblazoned with the words “Knowledge Futures Group,” long brown pants, and blue Crocs.

If he is stressed, he might run, freeze, and/or become nonverbal.

Despite having an open and active missing persons case with the NYPD, he has not turned up anywhere in the missing persons system.

As you may imagine, his parents are beside themselves with worry, as are all of Joseph’s friends. A trusted community member has recommended a private investigator, who has been retained to help bring Joseph home. Even with the significant discount the investigator has offered, this will be extremely costly.

We are asking for donations to cover the ongoing costs of this private investigative team, for however long it takes to bring Joseph home. Thank you in advance for your generosity - any amount is helpful. 100% of your donation will go towards the cost of locating Joseph.
