This is for those of you that know Ben. Or he has touched your life along the way. Whether it was a moment in time when he took a chance on you, advocated for your business, or fought for your rights. He needs support from our community, today.
He has an innate ability to meet people where they are at. This empathy and authenticity largely have made him successful in our community. Not to mention he’s the hardest worker I’ve ever met.
Ben is a proud man. He is embarking on the fight of his life. As some of you may know, his health has been unraveling and it has intensified after surviving Covid-19.
He was recently diagnosed with rare progressive disease called Arachnoiditis. There is no cure, but doctors are just beginning to understand it, so it is uncharted territory.
Ben has gone from throwing sand bags over his shoulders to barely being able to walk a short distance.
He has a mental fortitude unmatched, and he is an incredibly loving husband, and the best step(bonus) dad to my son Isak. Despite all of his challenges-he refuses to quit.
He is a private person, and this letter is with his blessing.
The world is a crazy place, and we know we have to make every dollar count. We are no exception.
I know Ben would fight for you. We are asking for any amount to contribute to his rising medical bills, and to close the gap a little as winter approaches.
The key to treating Ben’s symptoms is mult-faceted. My aim is to alleviate some stress through reaching out to our community that understands who Ben is, knowing that any support you can give will strengthen him.
I’ve learned that when you don’t feel alone, and don’t suffer in isolation, healing can take place.
With respect and gratitude,
