Today I am writing to you because I want to help a lovely senior woman in my neighborhood overcome a financial tragedy. She was severely overcharged from Rogers due to not completely understanding what type of internet plan she has. A seemingly common mistake for an 81 yr old to make however they will not refund her money. She canceled the account in a panic once it reached over $1000 and now nothing can be done to retrieve her funds. I am devastated for her and I alone can only do so much. I am currently reaching out to local news stations because I'm sure there are thousands of elderly people being overcharged and taken advantage of and it needs to stop now. There are so many seniors who dont have a young tech savvy person in their life to sort these things out for them.
I am aware that this is a very difficult time for everyone, financially, emotionally and almost every other way possible.
Please give what you can and I will continue my crusade and try and shed light on this problem so that no one else has to go through this.
