This is an URGENT plea for help. We need YOU to help us keep the sanctuary open and the animals safe.

Lotus Sanctuary is a very special place to our animals and volunteers alike and we desperately need you to help us get through the depths of winter. Hayley, the sanctuary owner, is a resilient and selfless woman, but after losing a few of the flock recently to old age and illness, plus the pressure of the hot Summer, lack of grazing and unexpected vet bills, the task of keeping the sanctuary open is becoming increasingly difficult.

We are so humbled by your support so far - reaching our initial £15,000 milestone means we have been able to buy 2 new shelters for the animals and we have enough hay to see us through the worst of the winter - please check out our socials to see photos and videos of exactly how your generosity is making a HUGE difference.

However, we STILL need some urgent help to keep our sanctuary going. After a long dry Spring and Summer, the rains have now come and turned large areas of the ground to mud - we desperately need more mud control mats to create safe areas for the animals, including inside and at the entrances to our new shelters. We've increased our fundraising target to help us purchase more of these mats - which cost a whopping £34 per square metre plus delivery.
