Please help family with Covid 19 lung transplant

In association with my cousins and the whole Ceja family, I kindly ask that you take this young family man into consideration. In the middle of July my cousin Jesus fell victim to the damaging effects of Covid 19. He was taken to the hospital with difficulty breathing and 4 days later he was intubated for almost a month. He was finally accepted to a next level course of treatment called ECMO. In simple words it is an artificial lung, the last ditch effort to save someone with severe lung damage. His lungs were left with extensive fibrosis, lung scarring.

 

His only chance at life now at the young age of 29 is lung transplant on both sides. He is currently on the waiting list for an organ. Recovery time for a lung transplant is 3 to 6 months if all goes well. He contracted the disease at work but because he had only been working for the company for a month he had not yet been granted insurance or benefits. Every expense, including his rent and family expenses has been taken care of by his extended family and the generosity of the hospital but everything is still up in the air.

 

He is the sole provider for his family, a family man that has been married for 7 years. He has two beautiful kids ages 7 (girl) and 3 (boy). Any little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. En asociación con mis primos y toda la familia Ceja, les pido que tengan en cuenta a este joven padre de familia. A mediados de julio, mi primo Jesús fue víctima de los efectos dañinos de Covid 19. Fue llevado al hospital debido a la falta de oxígeno y 4 dias después lo entuvaron por mas de un mes y finalmente fue aceptado a un curso de tratamiento de siguiente nivel llamado ECMO. En palabras simples, es un pulmón artificial, el último esfuerzo para salvar a alguien con daño pulmonar severo. Sus pulmones quedaron con fibrosis extensa, cicatrices pulmonares.

 

Su única oportunidad de vida ahora a la temprana edad de 29 años es un trasplante de los dos pulmónes. Actualmente se encuentra en lista de espera para un órgano. El tiempo de recuperación para un trasplante de pulmón es de 3 a 6 meses si todo va bien. Contrajo la enfermedad en el trabajo, pero debido a que solo había estado trabajando para la empresa durante un mes, aún no se le había otorgado seguro ni beneficios. Todos los gastos, incluido el alquiler y los gastos familiares, han sido cubiertos por su familia extendida y la generosidad del hospital, pero todo sigue en el aire.

 

Es el único sustento de su familia, un hombre de familia que ha estado casado durante 7 años. Tiene dos hermosos hijos de 7 años (niña) y 3 (niño). Cualquier poquita ayuda y es muy apreciado.
