Please help small family struggling with medical issues

I am writing this on behalf of my sister Mary Ellen and her husband Peter and their 10 year old son. Her family and I are asking for any funds you can spare to help them to get through this tough time in their lives. She has been having nerve issues which is leaving her incredibly weak. The doctors do not know for sure what is happening but it is greatly impacting her life and that of her family. Over the last 4 years Mary Ellen has slowly been losing her strength throughout her entire body and over the last year has been unable to walk, feed herself or do really anything for herself.

They continue to run a small family restaurant in Halifax which they started 10 years ago and have operated throughout. They are incredibly grateful to their staff who have helped to keep the place going during this extremely stressful and difficult time.

They need to do costly renovations to their house to accommodate her changing health requirements. While doctors continue to investigate these health issues that have greatly impacted their lives, it has left her in need of building a ramp to get her in and out of their home and making their bathroom more accessible, among many other growing costs. They need to hire someone who can help with her rehabilitation as well as daily exercises and helping her go to the bathroom and eat etc.

This whole ordeal is quite scary and I know her son is worried about his mother. We are asking for any help you can provide during this very difficult and scary time in their lives. No donation is too small. We thank you for any support and continued prayers for Mary Ellen's health.
