Please Help Evelyn Black Get Housing and Justice

Hi, my name is Patricia, and I'm writing to request help for my elderly aunt, Evelyn Black. Against all odds, she moved from Janesville, WI to Deltona, FL with hopes of enjoying the weather and better managing her many health issues.
She was happy to find a place for rent in Deltona, FL not far from me. She began paying rent in August, although she didn't move in until October. Dealing with her landlord hasn't been a walk in the park, but she was happy to be settled in her new place.
Unfortunately, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Evelyn was illegally evicted and locked out with no due process. The landlord tossed her belongings in the street, threatened to have her car towed, and her dog placed in the pound.
Many of Evelyn's items were broken and stolen. The landlord refused entry into the unit to retrieve her medications, dog food, groceries, and many of the things that still belonged to Evelyn. When I called the police to the scene the landlord lied and accused Evelyn of being a squatter.
Due to the landlord's actions, Evelyn missed a very special infusion appointment which is vital to her health, is homeless, and is now hospitalized due to all the stress. We are hoping she makes a full recovery from this and has a place to call home when she is released from the hospital.
We'd also like this to be shared so this type of behavior doesn't go unpunished. Elder abuse is not okay. This woman should be ashamed and she should lose the ability to continue to rent to the public.
Thank you in advance for your endearing support.
Patricia Burlock
***UPDATE***
We'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and donations. Evelyn has been released from the hospital and is continuing her path to healing. She is still seeking legal representation to be made whole as well as a place to call home.
