Please help Evan along this difficult journey

Saturday, September 11th Evan's sister answered the phone call. A phone call nobody would ever like to receive. "Amber, your brother has been in a motorcycle accident."

Evan was able to remain conscious and alert while pinned between his bike and a stone wall, where EMS discovered him 45 minutes later..

He was transported to a nearby hospital where medical professionals deemed his injuries so severe, that he was immediately transferred via life star to a Trauma Center two hours away. It was there his family was notified of his major injuries including a lacerated spleen and kidney, eight broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and broken shoulder/ shoulder blade. They essentially summed this up with "his left side is crushed." After further tests were conducted, it was revealed his other lung and trachea were also damaged on top of severe internal bleeding.

Luckily, he was wearing his helmet or asking for help would not be an option right now. Due to these unfortunate circumstances and severity of his condition, the timeline for recovery is unpredictable at this time. Meanwhile, his regular bills are accruing on top of his medical bills which are accumulating by the minute with no timeline for recovery at this point. He remains in critical condition. He is currently sedated, medically paralyzed, and breathing via a ventilator.

He is so strong and healthy and if anyone can pull through this, it is him. Most wouldn't have made it to speak with paramedics after the initial incident. We are trying to alleviate additional stress for him, when he does wake up on his own, so that he may focus on a full recovery. Donations may also contribute to travel and lodging expenses for family as they take turns to be by his side during treatment.

Many people who know Evan can attest to the fact that he is like no other. He's got the biggest heart, larger than life personality, and willingness to always help others. He's happiest with the smallest things in life, which is why he deserves all the help he can get.
