Please help the Hussein family survive & evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
Hey there, my name is Elisha and I am based in the Netherlands. I am originally from Malaysia and have lived in the Middle East for almost 10 years. My sister Eliqa and I have created this campaign in the desperate need to help evacuate dear friends of ours Mohammad, his wife Nadine and 2.5 year old son Rashed to safety and to try to rebuild a life that they deserve.
The situation in Gaza is inhumane and with everything going on with the attacks, bombings and severe shortages of food and water - Mohammad is fearful that they won't make it through. They are willing to leave behind their home and all the memories it entails in order to survive and we are asking for your help to make this happen.
Here’s some information about the Hussein family:
Mohammed Hosam Mohammed Hussein (30 years old)
Nadine Jubran Wadea Hussein (26 years old)
Rashed Mohammed Hosam Hussein (2.5 years old)
Mohammad and Rashed before the current war:
Mohammad is a 30 year old Medical Admin and he met and fell in love with his wife Nadine who is a nurse at the hospital they worked at. They got married and soon after were blessed with Rashed, their son. Mohammad has always been a huge fan of football and Rashid naturally followed in his fathers footsteps. They would spend afternoons playing football together. Nadine has always wanted to be a doctor, but being in Gaza.. this was not possible. So she decided to become a nurse to try and help as many people as possible.
Being from Gaza, they have unfortunately had to endure an unimaginable amount of turmoil. Having been through 4 wars (2008, 2012, 2014, 2021) and the most unbearable and worst of them all is the one that is taking place at this current moment. Mohammad has also been captured and tortured. This is not a way to live and we must try our best to do something to help.

Your contribution can help save Mohammad and his family.
There is a safe passage for them to evacuate to Egypt in hopes to live a better life where they wouldn’t be starved to death, shot at or bombed. Mohammad and Nadine just want the best for their family - especially for their son Rashed. We would need as much help as we can get as this evacuation will cost money.
In the face of unimaginable adversity, we have come together to stand beside the Hussein family – Mohammad, Nadine, and their precious son Rashed. Their desperate plea for evacuation from the war-torn Gaza strip echoes the urgency of their situation. The inhumane conditions, constant threats, and unbearable hardships have led them to make the heart-wrenching decision to leave behind their home and seek safety.
As we share the intimate details of Mohammad's life, his dedication to his family and the love they share, we are reminded that these are real people facing an existential threat.
Our goal is clear: raise EUR 27,000 to provide the Hussein family with a chance at a new life, free from the horrors of war. Your contribution can be the lifeline they desperately need. These funds will cover permits and crossing expenses, transaction costs, and essential living expenses as they embark on this journey to safety.
All contributions will go to aid the following expenses:
- EUR21,000 for Permits and Crossing: expenses for evacuating Gaza through the Rafah-Egypt border will come to EUR 7,000 per person.
- EUR2500 for transaction costs: GoFundMe’s transaction fees and international transfer costs will come to an estimated EUR2500.
- EUR 3500 Estimated cost for living expenses. (Food, shelter, clothes and any other necessities they might need)
We are in contact with Mohammad and his family who are currently in Gaza and we will distribute the funds directly to him and our friends in Egypt who can help with the evacuation.
Imagine a world where Rashed can grow up without the constant fear of airstrikes, a world where Mohammad and Nadine can rebuild their lives and pursue dreams that were once deemed impossible.
