Erica Teagarden is a wonderful woman who met and fell in love with Mark Conner. The two of them have shared many adventures over the years. We lost Mark on October 15th. Mark was well loved and respected in the Napa Valley community and beyond. He was a friend to everyone he met. He will be missed by everyone who has known him.
I am trying to raise money for Erica because losing Mark has also meant the loss of his half of their shared household income. She is raising two kids and this loss is a huge financial burden, not to mention the emotional toll that has taken, for her and the family. For those of you who know Erica you know she does not want to ask for help. She is incredibly proud and has been doing her best to support her family for years. Unfortunately, she finds herself in the situation now where she has lost the love of her life, and is potentially going to lose the home that she and Mark shared together. I am hoping that we can come together as Erica’s community, her friends, and family who can help to support her during this unbelievably difficult time. I am hopeful that we can give her a financial cushion to get her through the next few months until she can find a degree of normalcy in her life and can figure out what her next move will be.
The money will be spent on rent, and regular monthly bills. The housing market in California is outrageous and a single income is just not enough to cover that and the expenses involved in raising two kids these days.
Helping Erica is important to me because she is amazing. She is a thoughtful, and giving person. She has always been more than generous to me and I would like to return the favor in her time of need. I suspect that she has touched your lives in a similar way over the years too.
