Please help end constant eye pain for Chubs

My name is Tazeam and I am an independent cat rescuer in Torfaen - helping local stray, injured and unwanted cats get the love and support they need to get back on their paws

If you’ve ever got an eyelash stuck in your eye, you’ll know how painful it can be. If just one small eyelash can cause that much irritation, imagine how it must feel with all of them scratching both of your eyes, constantly. This is the reality for beautiful black boy cat Chubs.

Once a stray who got into fights in Trevethin, now neutered Chubs lives safely on a farm as a semi-feral cat. He's not suited to a house, but thrives with space to roam and people watching out for him.

And right now, he really needs our help. Chubs has a very painful eye condition called entropion in both eyes. This means his eyelids are curling inwards, and the eyelashes are scratching against the delicate eye surface causing constant pain. He can hardly open his eyes and must be in agony.

So far I have tried eye drops, which he bravely gets despite the pain. But as his eyes have not improved, the vet has recommended surgery on both eyelids. This surgery has a good success rate and will mean Chubs can finally open his eyes without pain and fully enjoy his freedom on the farm.
