Please help Emperatriz

My name is Cody Richardson I am creating this Go Fund Me for my wife Francia Casal and my Brother-in-law Alberto Casal to help their mother who is in the hospital in Venezuela .

In May, we noticed Emperatriz was not seeming herself, she was very repetitive on the phone and even mentioned she had not been feeling well. After getting the call that Emperatriz was taken to the hospital for high fever and further cognitive decline last week, Francia flew to Venezuela on June 2nd to assess her mothers condition.

Emperatriz is being treated for chronic kidney failure with the cause still unknown after 3 days in the hospital. She will remain hospitalized until the kidney issues are diagnosed correcrtly and properly treated. She is very weak and in cognitive decline, unable to have a conversation and not really understanding whats going on. We are in high spirits, as of now they are still performing tests and treating with antibiotics with little effect. Dialysis being the next possible treatment. She is under the best care possible but its coming at a cost, there is little to no insurance coverage and the hospital is $400 a day plus the costs of seeing the specialists and continued treatments.

Francia is there making sure the doctors are doing everything they can in a timely manner. She travelled there on short notice with an expired Venezeulan passport and is having to apply for one there as it was not possible to do so here due to the decline of the Venezuelan goverment, even though she possesses a U.S. passport before she can return to the states.

If you can find it in your heart to donate to Emperatriz for assisstance with the hospital stay and medical treatments, that we are having to pay day to day to keep her under the best care possible it would be greatly appreciated. Every penny counts.
