Hi everyone, my name is Rhea and I am reaching out in the most difficult moment of my life to ask for help in saving my beautiful horse, Diva.

Diva is only 7 years old and has already faced so much. She is currently battling a life-threatening colic — her large colon has become displaced and impacted, and she’s now in the care of the Glasgow Vet School. The vets are doing everything they can to resolve this medically, but if her colon doesn’t move back into place, she will require emergency surgery to save her life.

On top of this, Diva is also struggling with bilateral lameness behind. She’s been diagnosed with arthritis and may need injections into her sacroiliac (SI) joint. She is currently on the waiting list for a radioactive bone scan to fully understand what’s going on in her body and to give her the chance of a pain-free future.

My insurance will sadly only cover up to £6,000 and I’ve already been quoted £3,000 for medical management alone. If surgery is required, the total costs could reach £10,000. I’m looking to raise half of this amount.

I never imagined I would be in this position, but I’m doing everything I can to give Diva the fighting chance she deserves.

She’s not just a horse — she is my best friend, my reason to get up every day, and the one who has carried me through some of the darkest times in my life. She gives me purpose. I can’t imagine life without her.
