Hi, Family and friends. I would genuinely appreciate your taking the time to read my mom and stepfather's story.

On Sunday, August 20, 2023, around 6:30 a.m., my parents were involved in a car accident. They were traveling on the 91 westbound when a reckless vehicle hit the truck my stepdad was driving in the front driver's side, sending them to hit the wall on the right side and bouncing back, spinning, and losing control. The impact was so hard that the truck was a total loss, damaging the front and passenger sides.

The car never stopped, and all we knew from a kind person who stopped to help them was that it was a dark-colored Mercedes “new model.”

Both were taken to Regional Hospital. Due to the extensive trauma, my mother had to be transferred to Memorial Medical Center, where she is still under a neurologist's care. She was diagnosed with a T12 spinal injury and ligament inflammation in her neck.

We hope everything will turn out okay. As of today, 8/23/2023, we are still waiting to see what the neurologist says about the injury and if it will be necessary for my mother to undergo surgery and fix the fracture in her spinal cord.

Due to my stepfather's injuries, he hasn’t been able to return to work, and the bills and rent are not waiting for him to recover. Due to personal reasons, neither he nor my mother can apply for financial help.

Please help my parents with prayers and any financial assistance your heart desires; we will greatly appreciate it during the harsh times coming.
