My name is Christina, and I am coming here today on behalf of my sister and brother in law.

Earlier this month, Eric went to the dentist for what looked like a small abscess on a tooth. When they did an X-ray, they discovered a very large mass in his jaw. This has set off a very large, expensive, and stressful chain of events. The first thing that needs to be addressed is removing and biopsying the mass to see if it is cancerous. Because of the size of the mass, his jaw structure is severely compromised, and he will require extensive dental work to fix it. This includes bone grafts, the potential removal of his four front teeth, and all procedures to follow. The oral surgeon is very concerned, and time is of the essence. The biopsy and mass removal surgery is in two weeks, and no matter what the biopsy shows, there is a long road ahead of several major procedures.

If you have ever had major dental work done, you know how expensive and painful it can be. Unfortunately, dental insurance will not cover the large majority of this procedure, and he and my sister are not in a place financially to shoulder the burden of this cost. He cannot get the surgery without paying in full, and there are lots of costs to follow. I am hoping we can all pitch in and help them get through this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help them immensely, and get Eric the surgery he needs. He and his wife (my sister) are two of the most giving and thoughtful people I know, and I’m hoping this brings them some peace of mind as they try and juggle this and their family.
