Our stepmom, Elise, got terrible news last week and really needs help. After 18 months of planning, the person who agreed to provide 24/7 care, post double-lung transplant, is suddenly unable to due to her own declining physical health. Elise was at the very top of the list. She will not survive without this surgery.
Elise has been battling stage 4 COPD for some time and it’s finally become critical. She’s now on oxygen 24/7 and has spent the past several years in and out of the hospital, with stays of month or more each time.
This transplant will save her life. The doctors are waiting for her call to give them the go ahead. Without 24/7 in-home assistance, the surgery will not happen.
Unfortunately, our small family does not have the resources to provide 24/7 care for 3 months. The only way to get our stepmom back on the active transplant list is with private at-home care.
Please help us save Elise’s life and get her back on the transplant list. We love her too much to lose her yet. We're deeply grateful for your support in any amount you can spare, and if you can’t, please send your prayers.
Thank you
Allison & Jonathan Horowitz
