Please help Elijah make it to Sydney for Futsal

Donation protected
Hi I have set up this appeal for Elijah, my son who is attending the National Futsal Championships representing Qld City in the Australia wide competition in January 2023. As proud parents we want to be able to help our son achieve everything he wants to.

Elijah is like any thousands of football mad young players, his interest in football started at the tender age of 2. Elijah would ask for footballs and football kits for Christmas, birthdays even Easter. We have pictures of when he was very little, sleeping with his new football. Elijah will play football at any opportunity, he lives and breathes his sport and is the ultimate football fan. There is not a day that goes by that he doesn’t have a ball at his feet trying to improve his already impressive foot skills.

Our family holidays are always planned around Elijah’s football and Futsal training competitions and games. If he misses a game he is beside himself.

Elijah has had some great opportunities, he has played for Sunnybank Saints, Lions FC and last year joined the under 13 NPL team at Western Pride where he has made some amazing friends and they made it all the way through to Semi Finals where they were knocked out by one goal. He has this year been retained to play for the Under 14 NPL Western Pride team again.

We travelled to England a little over 3 years ago as part of a football programme where his love for the game grew. He played at and trained at some of the best clubs in the world

The indoor fast paced game suits Elijah very well. And recently Elijah has been selected for the Australian Futsal team to compete in the US unfortunately he was unable to attend due to financial constraints and covid.

This is a great opportunity for Elijah and hopefully he will be selected for the Australian team again after the National Championships.

Due to Covid, a lot of football and football tournaments were cancelled with the players missing so much football, so when football recommenced and Elijah got invited to play in The Nationals we decided to do whatever necessary to allow him to go. No sacrifice is too much for our young man.

He works very hard and has the most amazing work ethic when it comes to his sport. He is an incredible young man, while other kids are enjoying the freedom that being a young man brings he is 100% committed, he plays games and trains 6 times a week and has recently started an online course in health and fitness to better his knowledge. I have no doubt that this young man will make it big.

Thank you so much for reading my boys journey.
