Eddie Cunningham, a native New Yorker now living in Falls Church, Virginia is a 57 year old single dad to his teenage son Adam.  Over the last few years Eddie has met with a string of bad luck and is in need of your help. 

After experiencing pain in his neck and tightening of his chest accompanied by heart palpitations, Eddie was admitted to Inova Fairfax Hospital on Friday, December 30, 2016 thinking he might have suffered a mild heart attack.  The doctors confirmed he had suffered several heart attacks, had blockages in three of his arteries (62%, 73% and 86%) and needed open heart surgery.  To top it off, doctors also diagnosed Eddie with a thyroid condition which will require thyroid medication for the rest of his life. Eddie had double bypass open heart surgery on the 4th of January and was released from the hospital on Sunday, January 8th.  Eddie does not have medical insurance a job or a car. His unemployment ran out a year ago. His savings are gone. He needs your help.


Eddie  currently rents a bedroom in a house that should be condemned.  The house has black mold and is in such bad shape that sometimes the landlord doesn’t even charge Eddie rent due to the horrendous condition of the home.       

Above is what Eddie calls his tree of life. It is a station holding all the meds he was on after the surgery. Wow! Below you see him walking around the hospital floor the day after his bypass surgery.
