Hello, my name is Tess and I'm fundraising and asking for assistance to help cover medical costs and monthly bill expenses.

I have congestive heart failure and end stage renal failure. As of this past week I was hospitalized for 8 days, had to start dialysis and learning the process of becoming eligible for a transplant to extend my life. This is something that I'm still processing and have to get use to my new norm.

As my favorite saying goes, "You want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." That's absolutely true and resongnsted very deeply with me. My life is living proof that we honestly do not have control and even when we think we do God says otherwise. I had a miracle baby at 40, who is my world and reason for living, I had several surgeries that I made it through because of God and his plans, My last major surgery was an open heart surgery (CABG) and I made it through successfully. After the surgery, I had an allergic reaction to an IV drip medication, and coded for 2 minutes which caused kidney damage after being resusitated.

Forward 2 years later and here I am, thankful to be alive for my little lion and family, regardless of having to rely on hemodialysis. I put all my faith in God and understand that he knows what life holds for me. I have no control of the outcome.

I will keep doing what I have to health wise to take care of my health and count my blessings everyday that I'm present to raise my son and be amongst my loved ones. With the help and support of my family and friends I can concentrate on my health journey and caring for my toddler. It takes a village and I'm thankful for my loved ones continuing to be there for me.

Unfortunately this life does not give us any breaks and monthly bills are due regardless of your health circumstances. As we all know too well, extension only go so far before your services are disconnected, cell phone cut off, insurance cancelled and the list goes on.

I need help with my medical expenses because again as most of us know in this life unfortunately, it's profits over people and co payments must be met to keep receiving life saving help. I also live 45 minutes from the dialysis center so transportation and gas are another expense I have to worry about.

I know times are hard for many, believe me I know. If you are able to ease some of my financial burdens but still able to meet your everyday needs without going without, I thank you for your help and kind heart.
