Please Help Duvall Family After Head-On Collision

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

As many in our community know, the beloved Duvall family was involved in a car accident during the early morning on February 10th. Willie and two of his girls, Maddi (15) and Kate (12), were heading to an FFA Federation Shooting Sports Competition when a vehicle crossed the center line and caused a head-on collision. Kate was airlifted to UNC Medical Center while Willie and Maddi (15) were transported to Moses Cone Hospital. Willie was released Saturday afternoon and Maddi was eventually transported to UNC Medical Center. Collectively they’ve suffered many injuries, including broken bones, a severe concussion, damaged teeth and bruised organs. We are praising God for His protection over them. Thankfully, none of their injuries are life threatening. But with one surgery and a lot more medical care in their future, they have a long road to recovery ahead of them. With the family’s permission, Deborah’s friends created this GoFundMe to assist the family with the financial burden of the accident, from unexpected medical bills, missed work/school, future medical appointments, and other unforeseen financial burdens that may arise. The Duvalls are known in the community as kind and generous people who care for others’ needs, and now it’s our turn to rally around them in their own time of need.

The family has felt your prayers, and are so appreciative of the outpouring of love and support. They continue to ask for prayers of healing and comfort over Willie, Maddi, and Kate, while Deborah and Hollyn would benefit from prayers for strength, patience and wisdom in caring for their family.
