After 20 years of bravely fighting chronic liver disease, Dakota Taylor (age 23) is finally getting a second chance at life. On June 18, 2025, his brother, Jackson (age 18), will undergo a living donor liver transplant—courageously giving half of his liver to save his brother’s life. It’s a powerful act of love, but it comes with enormous emotional and financial challenges.

A Family's Journey of Sacrifice and Hope

The family lives in the Palm Beach area, but to undergo this complex transplant, they will temporarily relocate to Tampa, Florida, to be near the medical team before, during, and after the procedure. This means uprooting their lives while managing two recoveries and months of follow-up care—far from home and work.
