Please help Duc's Family with Funeral Costs

Donation protected
It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of our dear friend, Van Duc Cao, who left his family unexpectedly on Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to two beautiful young children, ages 12 and 18. His sudden loss has left an unimaginable void in their lives.

Just three years ago, Mr. Jimmy Miller helped sponsored Mr. Duc’s family from Vietnam. His wife, an Amerasian, came to the United States through the Amerasian Homecoming Act—a refugee program that gave them a chance at a better life in Spokane, Washington.

As a low-income household still trying to build stability in a new country, this loss has been emotionally and financially devastating. We want to give Mr. Van Duc Cao the peaceful and respectful farewell he deserves—but we cannot achieve this without your support.

We are humbly asking for help to raise $10,000 to cover:
• Funeral and cremation expenses
• A modest memorial service
• Any final medical costs

Every donation—large or small—makes a meaningful difference. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this message. Your compassion and kindness will directly help Mr. Duc’s wife and children as they grieve and begin to heal.

Sincerely,
Ann Cao, a family friend & member of Vietnamese La Vang
