Let’s celebrate Droo’s life the way he deserves
“Maybe just maybe it’s my turn to fly”
We are so grateful for all of the generous donations that were given to help Droo pay his medical bills. Tragically, after a hard fought battle with Covid, we had to say goodbye.
From Droo’s mother Gloria:
I'm so so so sorry to share that Droo has gone to be with his Creator God & his savior, Jesus. He passed at 2:37pm today the 28th of August with his family around him. He is at peace & we are trying to accept & understand, but it's the most difficult thing I've ever been through. EVER!!
There are no plans, as of yet. I will notify you here when there are plans in place. On behalf of Droo & me & his family, we thank you all from the depths of our hearts for your prayers, love, caring, and just being a part of our lives. ❤️❤️❤️
So now, our focus moves to his precious family. They desperately need prayers to get through this impossible time. We don’t know what the medical bill situation may be, but for now we owe it to Droo to have an amazing celebration of life like only he deserves, so everything fundraised now will go to his family to help with that and any other expenses that may arise. Thank you again for the outpouring of love and support you have shown Droo, now he needs us to do the same for his family. We will keep everyone updated as plans come together.
For anyone unfamiliar with the details of Droo’s battle, here is the beginning and the rest can be found in the updates from Gloria below.
He began feeling sick around Tuesday Aug. 3rd and by the weekend Jade and Gloria really began to worry that he needed medical attention, but Droo can be stubborn. Gloria went to see him Monday and by then it was evident he needed help immediately because he could barely breathe, so they called 911. When the paramedics arrived, his blood O2 was only 40%. (For perspective, anything below 90% is alarming) He couldn’t even walk without running out of breath so they wheeled in a gurney and rushed him to Medical City Lewisville. They put him on an external ventilator (the mask) at 100% oxygen and said he needed to go straight to the ICU, but theirs were all full. They waited all day before finally getting word that there was an ICU bed available at Medical City Arlington, so they transported him there. This is about the point where Gloria began with her updates, so I will just let her tell you the rest.
