Please help Dorian and Geoff Moller.

My name is Paige Clanton. I wanted to start this Go Fund Me account, for my good friend Dorian Moller and her husband Geoff.
Dorian and Geoff have been married 41 years. They came to the United States in 1987 to raise their girls. They were the best of friends, and should be retired spending those golden years together. Unfortunately Geoff was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment in 2015, then again in 2017 with Alzheimer’s. Since then it has been a downhill spiral for them. It became impossible for her to care for him in their home any longer, with the disease progressing and unpredictable and dangerous behavior. Early this year 2022 she had him put in a facility, that could not care for him because of his erratic behavior and confusion. They were not able to adjust his medication there, so he was sent to the hospital for observation. After being at the hospital for several weeks, Geoff was placed in Another Facility. Dorian has watched her husband go through so much suffering and become someone she almost doesn’t even recognize. As painful and heartbreaking as it is to lose the love of your life and watch them suffer this way, she also has to come up with a way to pay 6,000 out of pocket every month for his care. Geoff is ineligible for Medicaid, because he makes $26 to much over the maximum amount you can receive through Social Security benefits. Dorian has hired lawyers, been in contact with someone that is representing her to the North Carolina congressman and two senators, regarding caregivers and the financial struggles most have with the high cost of the care facilities. Unfortunately all she has done to try to receive help, has failed. She has exhausted every possible avenue for help. Dorian will run out of money in less than a year and will have to sell her home and lose almost everything to keep him in this facility’s care. She also just received the bill for Geoff’s hospital stay, the bill was over 100,000. She is working with insurance to pay for as much as they can, but she will still be left with a huge bill.
Nothing will take away the sadness of losing her husband and best friend. If she could have some of the financial burden lifted, she could start to have a little peace back in her life though. Please help Dorian during this traumatic time. If you are in a position to give please think of Dorian and Geoff. Anything would be so greatly appreciated.
