Hi Everyone,

My name is Dora Heath. For those of you who know me, you understand the challenge I have always had with asking for assistance, but my current circumstances have convinced me that it is time.

I have been a hard worker for almost all of my 78 years of life. Sitting still and being incapacitated has been the most difficult part for me over the past two years. In 2020 I was gainfully employed and had no medical issues at all. But in October 2020, that all changed. I became ill, was lightheaded, and had difficulty breathing. I was hospitalized and diagnosed with blood clots in my lungs; the origin of the clots is still unknown; one doctor suggested that I may have had a mild case of Covid-19. I suffered from consistent vertigo and was unable to get out of bed most days.

In May 2021, I was again hospitalized and diagnosed with a rare condition called Pots Disease. Also, as a result of side effects from blood thinners, I developed gum damage and had to have oral surgery at the cost of $2000, and I just postponed a follow-up surgery due to the expense.

My latest problem is very painful Osteoarthritis in my knee which requires cortisone shots. Because of my inability to return to work right now, I have amassed overwhelming medical expenses that have placed me in dangerous financial peril. As a result, the doctors I'm seeing currently are cardiologists, gynecologists, neurologists, and Orthopaedic specialists. Every visit comes with a copay, and the copays medical bills are now endangering the roof over my head.

Again, my needs are immediate and great, so it is time for me to open up and receive help from my loving friends and family. The bible tells us that we have not because we ask not, so I am humbly asking.
