Please Help Diesel Fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Heather Morris, and I am desperately trying to raise funds for my sweet boy Diesel.
Those who know me personally or through the 501 c 3 all-foster based rescue based organization that I founded have witnessed that I tend to fight my battles alone; it would be like cutting my arm off for me to ask for help, but here I am now on bended knees asking and begging for help to save Diesel's life as he was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma metastasized into his liver.
All of this news has hit me so fiercely and quickly that I still cannot wrap my head around it. Diesel had several tests done by his regular vet last Tuesday, a cytology test run, and a consultation with a liver specialist and an oncologist specializing in canine lymphoma. Last Friday, we received the results back, and we just saw the oncologist on the 7th to discuss his prognosis and treatment options. If you know lymphoma, you know time is of the essence, and he needs to get in ASAP to start his first round. The quicker we can begin, the better his prognosis is.
Diesel's regiment would be as such:
- Five cycles of chemotherapy,
- Four treatments in a process.
- It would be once a week for four weeks, one week off, and then the next cycle begins.
- He will have blood work run every week for chemotherapy to check his levels.
- Medications
The specialty vet is in love with Diesel and his positive spirit, and he stated he was way too young to be sick and felt his prognosis was good and deserved this chance. If he were an older dog, I would opt out, but I have to do this for him. He is the epitome of what an ambassador should be, and he loves everyone and everything. He is only five years old, and he should still have a long road ahead of him so that he can show the world what a fantastic and beautiful creature he is.
I have maxed out my care credit card already, and because of the pandemic, my business is struggling. I am even doing door dash and GrubHub on the side to try to bring in money. Any help right now would be greatly appreciated. If you feel more comfortable calling your donation directly to the oncologist, that is awesome. If you can't donate, I understand too. Please keep Diesel in your thoughts and prayers.
