You know Derek & you know that he would do anything for his friends & family. It’s time to step up and reciprocate!

Derek moved to Fayetteville last year and started working for Pepsi. In the fall, he caught COVID & developed walking pneumonia. Time went on and he wasn’t getting better. Then Derek’s health took a turn for the worse and EMS was called. He was admitted to the hospital, during which a blood clot formed on his heart and he suffered a stroke.

Eventually he was released from the hospital, but was not really any getting better. His cousin, Ivy, found him a new cardiologist that shared the same concerns around Derek’s health and seemed to truly listen to those concerns.

However, in the midst of treatment,

Derek suffered another stroke!!! This time the stroke hit him while driving and Derek sideswiped an 18-wheeler then collided with another vehicle.

Once again Derek found himself back in the hospital. Even worse than before, as he wasn’t able to walk & communication was rough.

Over the past few months, Derek has been slowly recovering, regaining movement & taking things one day at a time.

In saying all this, Derek needs our help, BIG time! Let’s come together and show our love with some financial support. Not to sound cliché, but every dollar counts as he will be out of work for the foreseeable future. He needs money for rent, food, bandages, medication and medical bills.

Let’s keep Derek focused on recovery, not money.
