Please Help Daryl’s Family After Stroke and Tragic Loss
Donation protected
The Smith family is facing an incredibly difficult time, and they need our support now more than ever. This family recently suffered an overwhelming double tragedy.
Daryl is only 36 years old and she suffered a severe stroke on December 23, 2024, which is leaving her with a long and uncertain road to recovery. Only a few weeks later, on January 1, 2025, she had to face the beginning of this new year with another tragedy. Her partner of 18 years and a devoted father to their children was killed unexpectedly. With this shattered and sudden loss, the family is grappling with grief and emotional pain, while also managing the immense challenges that come with Daryl’s physical stroke.
Daryl has no in-home care support and is now a loving single mother of 2 children. Daryl is guilt-ridden with the weight placed upon her 14-year-old son and her daughter who just turned 18 and recently started college at SF State. The family is left with large financial burdens. The medical expense modifications for equipment to help Daryl during her in-home recovery, as well as transport (Uber, wheelchair, leg brace, cane to maneuver, etc.), are stacking up. The basic costs of living expenses (rent, utilities, food) along with these medical bills on current rehabilitation, grief counseling for everyone is more than she and her children can bear on their own.
As they navigate through this overwhelming life change, Daryl is desperate and really in need of financial support to cover all expenses until she can return to work to support her family solo.
We are asking for donations to help alleviate this financial pressure to allow Daryl and her family to focus on healing, recovery, and moving forward. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact and provide them the help to get through this heartbreaking chapter in their lives. Please join in supporting Daryl and her children with love, generosity, and kindness.
Your support will help them stay strong as they face these challenges.
With deep and heartfelt thanks!
