Please Help Danny get his Spinal Surgery

My brother, Daniel Avilés Castillo, 33 years old had a diving accident on August of 2019, that rendered him quadriplegic. He awoke in a hospital without being able to move, talk or breathe on his own. He was diagnosed with traumatic cervical fractures of C3-C6, C4-C5 vertebrates. They performed emergency surgeries including a discectomy, fixation, tracheostomy and gastrostomy, Spinal Navigation (NAV) and various surgical interventions with very little success other than to bring him back to consciousness and provide him with life support assistance. He is currently receiving physical therapy that has helped minimally with movement.

I am respectfully asking for financial help with further treatments as we have exhausted all of our resources on the surgeries and previous attempts to reverse my brother's condition and our only hope now rests on a stem cell therapy that is very expensive. It consists of three applications of stem cells in 3 stages and to different parts of his body in stages. The first is applied directly into his lungs to try to get him off of the respirator and breathing on his own. The second would be applied to his spinal column through a microsurgery, implanting a stimulator to his lower cervical spine to try to reconnect his central nervous system to try and restart the functions that have been limited or blocked, and the third directly to his joints with the goal of stimulating voluntary movement, muscle tone strength, temperature regulation , intestinal normalcy, standing, and eventually walking with assistance. We reached out to the Christopher Reeve Foundation but because he lives in Tijuana, they do not have resources for him unless he is brought to the United States.  My mother stopped working and moved in with him to help take care of him because since the accident he has become a single father of his 7 year-old daughter Natalie, and he is experiencing depression and losing hope so we want to try everything we can to help him. No amount is too small and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Mi hermano, Daniel Avilés Castillo, de 33 anos tuvo un accidente mientras se tiraba de cabeza a una piscina durante el cumpleanos de su hija, en Agosto de 2019 que lo dejo paralizado.  Desperto en el hospital sin poderse mover, hablar o respirar por si mismo.  Lo diagnosticaron con fracturas traumaticas de su espina dorsal (vertebras C3-C6, C4-C5).  Le hicieron cirugia de emergencia, incluyendo discectomia, fixacion, tracheostomia, gastrostomia, navigacion de su espina dorsal y varias otras cirugias de intervencion con poco exito, aparte de sacarlo del coma y ayudarle con soporte vital.  Ahora le estan haciendo therapia fisica y eso le ha ayudado con movimiento minimo.  

Respetuosamente pido ayuda financiera para poderle seguir ayudando a mi hermano porque ya hemos gastado todo lo que pudimos alcanzar en las cirugias y los tratamientos tratando de reversar su condicion y nuestra ultima esperanza seria therapia de celulas madres y es muy costosa.  Consiste de tres aplicaciones de celulas madres a diferentes partes de su cuerpo.  La primera se la aplican directamente a sus pulmones para tratar de que respire por si mismo.  El segundo se lo aplicarian directamente a su espina dorsal por medio de microcirugia, implantando un estimulador a la parte baja de su espina dorsal para tratar de reconnectar su sistema nervioso central y tratar de despertar las funciones que han sido limitadas o bloqueadas, y el tercero seria aplicado directamente a sus tendones para tratar de estimular movimiento, fuerza de musculos, regulacion de temperatura, normalidad de intestinos y con esperanzas de que pueda volver a caminar con asistencia.  Contactamos a la fondacion de Christopher Reeve (Superman) pero no le pueden ayudar porque vive en Tijuana y no en los Estados Unidos.  Mi mama dejo de trabajar y se mudo con el para cuidarlo porque desde su accidente se convirtio en padre soltero de Natalia, su hija de 7 anos, y esta pasando por depresion y perdiendo sus esperanzas y queremos hacer todo lo posible por ayudarle.  Ninguna cantidad es muy pequena y cualquier ayuda se agredece!  Gracias!
