Just two days before Mother’s Day, 14-year-old Ðăng Khoa’s world was shattered. His loving mother, the only parent he had ever known, passed away suddenly from heart failure - leaving him orphaned and heartbroken.

Ðăng Khoa never got to meet his father, who passed away while his mother was still seven months pregnant. Since birth, his mother has been his everything - his protector, his teacher, his entire world.

Now, Ðăng Khoa faces life without either parent. He is being cared for by his 98-year-old grandmother, who loves him deeply but is limited in what she can provide. This young boy, full of promise and potential, now carries a weight no child should have to bear.

Despite enduring so much loss, Ðăng Khoa is a straight-A student. He is kind, respectful, and hardworking. Teachers speak of his bright mind and even brighter heart. He dreams of continuing his education and building a future that honors the parents he’s lost.
