This diagnosis has led to various complications, including stage 5 kidney failure, and Dan is currently undergoing dialysis. Initially, Dan and Mandie met five years ago, and their connection was instantaneous. They got married, and Dan became an integral part of Mandie's family, including her children, whom he adores. Unfortunately, Dan's health issues have resulted in the loss of his insurance, leaving them with extremely high medical bills. The doctor has recommended that Dan pursue a living donor kidney transplant, as it is their best option. However, Dan has experienced setbacks, including a previously undiagnosed heart attack, which necessitates a consultation with a cardiologist on September 12 th to assess his heart's suitability for the transplant.
