NEW UPDATE! Ruby is home! She is absolutely exhausted but I’m sure so relieved to be home. Good news she will only need the drain for a hopeful 5-7 days, with 6 weeks of antibiotics. Thank you to everyone for sharing and helping a family and a sweet dog going through a lot. I promised reunion pictures, see below in the comments I can’t figure out how to add them to this post! TW: Her surgery scars are fairly unpleasant to the eye, but she is recovering!

UPDATE!: Ruby is out of surgery, she did well!! The surgeon couldn’t find any foreign object, the infection tract was running along her trachea and esophagus, which would explain her lack of

I am reaching out to the community to help my family who is in a very unfortunate state. One of their beloved dogs Ruby is currently being held at Scarborough Emergency vet until at least Tuesday. Any consideration would be extremely appreciated. These are the people who have taken care of me and their loved ones first for so long, if we can try to return the favor.

To our MWV community: Unforeseen circumstances have led the Clifford family down to one income temporarily, working as much as then can to catch up and make ends meet for their family. One of their beloved dogs, Ruby is currently being held at Scarborough Emergency vet with a scheduled surgery suffering from an unknown origin abscess on her neck. Conventional treatment has shown to not be enough right now for Miss Ruby. Her estimated stay after insurance coverage is $2,500.00. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my Mother, Step Father and Brother who have been through a lot as of late. Any help would be extremely appreciated, we thank you for the help for the Clifford family and the ongoing care Ruby is going to need to become healthy again.
