My name is Matiksha Bhatia, and I'm reaching out for your help during a challenging time for my family.

In April, my parents came to visit me on a tourist visa. Shortly after their arrival, my father began experiencing severe headaches and body aches. Initially, we thought it might be cervical issues and sought help from a physiotherapist. However, his condition worsened, and he started to lose his short-term memory.

We rushed him to the emergency room, where a CT scan revealed internal bleeding in his brain. The doctors performed immediate surgery, and he was discharged after three days. Unfortunately, just a week later, the same symptoms reappeared. Back at the emergency room, doctors discovered that the internal bleeding had resumed and performed an MMA procedure to prevent further bleeding. He was discharged again after three days.

Three weeks later, my father began experiencing speech impairment. Once more, we took him to the emergency room, where doctors identified a skin infection that required surgical intervention. Following this surgery, he needs six weeks of antibiotics administered daily by a visiting nurse.

Since my father is here on a tourist visa, he doesn't have a health card, and his insurance only covers 13,000 CAD. This amount is insufficient compared to the mounting medical bills. Currently, we have to pay 30,000 CAD for antibiotics that we know of, and we are expecting more bills in the upcoming months and are struggling to cover the ongoing expenses.

We have exhausted all our resources and are now facing a financial crisis. I am requesting your help to cover these medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and help us manage these overwhelming bills.
