PLEASE HELP COOPER & CHANDLER WAITE
Donation protected
If you know Cooper & Chandler Waite, you know that they'd give you the shirt off their back.
Cooper is a quiet gentle giant and has a heart of gold. He is one of the hardest workers I know. I know if I needed something at 2 am, he would be there.
I am in hopes that we can all help Chandler and Cooper during this trial.
A few months ago, Cooper wasn't feeling well. Being the quiet tough guy he is, he didn't say anything and just continued to push through it. This went on for a few weeks and when he was at work, his boss could tell he was in bad shape. His boss called Chandler and asked Chandler to come pick him up and suggested taking him to the Emergency Room.
Chandler picked him up and took him in and they admitted him to the Hospital right away. They ran several tests including an MRI, CT scan, an endoscopy & colonoscopy and found that his blood count was at a level 6, (an extremely low level considering a normal blood count is approximately 14.) They kept Cooper for several nights and went through 2 Blood Transfusions.
Cooper was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called "Ulcerative Colitis" - A decease that he will have to live with the rest of his life which will require frequent check ups, colonoscopies and extremely expensive medication.
Cooper has been with out work now for over a month and there is no estimation on when he will be able to go back to work. Cooper continues to be completely bed ridden and doesn't have the strength or stamina to walk just a few feet to the bathroom to bathe or shower with out having assistance.
Chandler is working full time in an effort to keep up while also trying to care for her husband.
They have not been able to afford medical insurance. The cost of hospital stays, tests, the ongoing treatment and required medication along with the cost of day to day living is overwhelming.
If you can help this sweet family in any way possible I would greatly appreciate it.
