Hey Daddies,
Come To Daddy is a LGBTQIA+ space in West End, Brisbane and last night we were attacked in a homophobic arson event by a group of people who set fire to the Rainbow bunting we had hanging across the outside dining area and footpath.
Thankfully some of our neighbours and members of the local community witnessed this and alerted others and the fire was put out quickly and the damage cleaned up before we arrived today. We are very grateful to all those who stepped up and that the building and adjacent businesses were not damaged in this attack.
However, as it is still a targeted attack on who we are as a gay-owned and run business for the Queer community, and who we represent and stand up for, we need your help in us getting some good security cameras, extra lighting and more gay-stuff installed at the venue, so that we can be safer for all 24/7, and to keep enjoying this venue for years to come.
Every dollar helps and is immensely appreciated.
