Hello everyone, I came to find out that my cat, Chui, has a condition known as feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC). This causes large crystals to form in his urine, causing immense pain when urinating in the first stages, and in advanced stages, leads to crystal formations in his urethra, and increasing potential for damage in his bladder and renal system.

Fortunately, as he is still in the early stages, and with a prescription diet along with other recommendations, he can still make a full recovery. He is now required to only eat prescribed wet cat food for urinary diseases, which costs upward of $5 a can.

As I had already purchased his regular cat food supply for the month, I am unable to afford his new specialized diet that he needs to get better. Also, I am still looking for employment which makes your help much more crucial. I have a goal of purchasing a 2-month supply of Hill’s Prescription Diet, approximately 48 cans, which costs around $250 on Amazon. My initial fundraising goal is $250 to only get his prescription food, and any excess, if available, will be put towards my remaining balance of $265 at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto, who graciously permitted me to clear my balance by September 29th after I explained my financial situation to them.
