Please help Christina to save for an e-bike.

Hi my name is Amber and I’m fund raising for my wonderful friend Christina Lavers. In the many years I have known her, she has devoted her life to helping others through her published self help books, articles and therapy sessions for those that are struggling.

Christina has never asked for anything, yet has always been there for others and myself, a beautiful woman who deserves love and support in return.

I know this would mean the world to her, if we could help create this wish of hers come true, it would truly make a difference in her life.

Christina’s mobility is heavily limited by permanent muscular sclerosis symptoms including muscle weakness in left leg, footdrop in left foot and general fatigue.

Christina lives rurally surrounded by quiet sealed roads and State-forest with dirt tracks, a 25 minute drive to town. A motorised wheelchair/mobility scooter would not be suitable in her rural home environment.

Christina feels a foldable light weight e-bike, controllable pedal assist, throttle 100% powered, step-thru, hydraulic breaks, wide small wheels, upright e-bike with good suspension would be a safe option for her disability.

Previously, she did a lot of cycling in nature but now she can no longer enjoy bike rides on a regular push bike. Her leg tires and her energy depletes quickly which can take her days to recover from. She struggles with her inability to access nature and enjoy outdoor activities with her family due to her disabilities.

Having an e-bike would allow Christina to join her 16 year old son on bike rides around their home. Before her symptoms accrued they often went on walks and rides together, which was a great way to connect with her son. Christina now feels incredibly limited in terms of outdoor activities they can do together.

An e-bike would also allow her the freedom and independence to visit nearby friends, helping her to feel less isolated. (as she now struggles to walk any distance.)

Please help Christina to gain some freedom to enjoy the natural world around her.
