Please help Christel

Hi we are the sons of Christel Barton Bumpus - Kevin and Shawn Keller. On February 6 2023, our mom was in a devastating accident due to unsafe conditions at the Bangham dumpsite in Cookeville, TN. She was "life flighted" to Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville on that day. She suffered ruptured vertebrae at T7 and T8 with spinal contusions and cervical trauma, 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a fractured sternum, facial fractures with a broken nose and black eye. She cannot stand or walk. And the only way she can sit up in a bed is with assistance. She does not have any use of her (dominate) right hand which is curled inward now. She attempts to use her left hand, but it is with minor success. She is paralyzed and unable to care for herself.

Our mom desperately needs financial assistance in order to provide her with 24 hour nursing care and assistance with meals and handicap lodging. We have spent the last 7 months hoping and praying that we could keep up with the financial aspect; but it is no longer viable. Our mom has always generously volunteered and helped others. That was what she was doing - helping someone else when the accident occurred. We are asking for your prayers and any donations that you could spare. We and she would be forever grateful. Our mom is the loving daughter of Gene and Carolyn Barton; the loving mother to Kevin and Shawn Keller and their wives Jessica and Valerie. The adoring grandmother to Lauren Keller and Isaac Keller.
