Please help Chrissy with her medical bills
Hello,
Chrissy needs our help!
Many of you know Chrissy Tupper as a friend and/or from her Cheers Restaurant and Cabanas here in Belize. On Tuesday, August 3, she suffered a heart attack, specifically a Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI). She was immediately admitted to St. Luke's Hospital in Belmopan and got quick evaluation and treatment, then spent a few days there before going on for further evaluation in Belize City.
Her specialist in Belize City recommended going to Merida, MX and she did so, where an angiogram determined that Chrissy has no blockage. Instead, she was diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome, specifically tachy-brady syndrome, also called tachycardia-bradycardia syndrome. With this syndrome, the heart sometimes beats too quickly (tachy) and sometimes too slowly (brady). To regulate this arrhythmia, Chrissy had a pacemaker put in on August 14. She will still need meds to prevent the tachycardia.
As many of you know, Chrissy runs Cheers with her mother, Anita, who is going to have a hard time doing this for both of them until Chrissy is back to full speed. She also has a large farm with many animals to take care of and has had to find other homes for many of them. Chrissy's urgent need is help with some of her medical bills including her hospital stay, evaluations and the trip to Merida. The pacemaker alone cost $5,000.
She's on the road to recovery and will need ongoing care and perhaps more funds in the future for more help at the restaurant and farm, so of course, we'd love to surpass this $10K goal for those future needs, but for now, her friends and family ask for your donations to take care of those current bills and that treatment in Merida. It will take away so much of her stress and less stress is something someone who has had a heart attack certainly needs!
Thank you so much for your support!
