Hi my name is Nicole and I’m fundraising for my brother in law & sister

“In 2018, my brother in law Chris, underwent open-heart surgery to repair a valve in his heart (his second open heart surgery in his lifetime) At that time, doctors had originally planned to replace the valve with a mechanical one, but instead attempted a repair in hopes that it would last. Sadly, the repair has not held, and now he must undergo his 3rd open-heart surgery, this time to replace the valve with a mechanical one that will hopefully give him a permanent solution.

Chris will be off work for up to three months to recover. While they will apply for disability through insurance, the decrease of income is going to be difficult for them with three young children who are active in extra curricular activities and especially with the rising costs of everything these days.

I am creating this fundraiser to help ease some of that financial burden. Donations will go toward travel and accommodation while he is in the hospital in Edmonton, and toward helping the family cover basic expenses during his recovery.
