Please help Cheryl's 'ohana bring her home to Kauai
Donation protected
Aloha ‘ohana,
It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Cherylann Bactad Lemalu. She left us a few days ago at Straub in Honolulu due to heart complications.
Cheryl was such an incredible woman, known for her unwavering strength, and unconditional love that extended to every single person she met. If you knew Cheryl, you knew she had the biggest heart, and always showed up for others in their hardest moments. She loved all of us and we were all her favorite.
Her daughter Ala Bactad, along with all of her keiki: Jojo, Kalani Joe, Kaimana, Matty, Amaya, and Naomi, will continue her legacy, knowing she loved them fiercely. She also loved her nieces and nephews and her children’s step-brothers and step-sisters, all as if they were her own. Cheryl came from a large, loving 'ohana and she hardly went a day without spending time with at least one of her brothers or sisters, often just enjoying each others company with a couple beers and ukes.
Now, her ‘ohana needs your kōkua. We are raising funds to cover Cheryl’s cremation costs, End-of-Life Celebration, and the travel expenses for Ala and a relative to fly from Kaua‘i to O‘ahu to meet with the funeral home. These funds will ensure that she can be brought home to Kaua‘i, where she belongs.
We humbly ask for any kōkua, big or small, to help us during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please share this post to help spread the word. Cheryl gave so much aloha to this world, and now we hope to give her the ho‘omaha pono she deserves.
Mahalo nui loa for your kindness, prayers, and support. A hui hou, e Cheryl. ❤️
