Please help Chennel with her medical bills

Hi, my name is Kym…Chennel Ramsay is my cousin, she lives in Jamaica, WI.

 

She was involved in a terrible accident, a truck hit her friends car (seen in pictures) and she was on the crushed side of the car.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Her family is so thankful she survived this accident. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her. Chennel sat in a public hospital for a month with a broken femur, broken pelvic bone and a gash on her forehead; awaiting surgery. She dealt with a lot of pain and unfortunate situations in the hospital, needless to say there are some struggles when it comes to healthcare in Jamaica.

 

She was finally able to get into a private hospital & had the much needed surgery to repair her femur (the pelvic bone has to heal on its own). The parts of her femur that broke were shattered, and the surgeon had to take bone graphs and fix it the best way he could.

 

 

 

 

After surgery, when Chennel was well enough to go home but in a private hospital you cannot leave until your bill is paid. With the help of family, friends & some kindhearted strangers she was able to get enough money to pay the hospital and be discharged. She is now at home, unable to do much for herself and for her small son.

 

 

 

Though the hospital bill has been paid, Chennel still has a bill of 1.5 million Jamaican dollars from her surgeon as well as extensive physical therapy sessions ahead. Her health coverage is only paying as much as 20% of these costs.

Chennel is trying her best to keep her spirits up with all of this going on. We are doing the best we can, but her family needs help getting her better & we truly appreciate every donation and every share. ❤️❤️
